Hurricane Watch

HURRICANE WATCH: Thirty Seconds to MarsJared Leto rented out Hollywood’s Ricardo Montalban Theatre last night to show an uncut version of his controversial “Hurricane” video to several hundred fans, sticking around for almost two hours after the 16-minute short film to answer questions. “A lot of people have questions about this weird little movie we made,” Leto explained after being introduced as Bartholomew Cubbins, the Seuss-inspired pseudonym under which he directed the short. Leto (who was briefly joined by bandmates Shannon Leto and Tomo Milicevic during the Q&A) pulled a printed list of network objections to the video which he’d been sent spanning spanned several pages. Leto then grabbed a guitar at the end of the evening and performed a solo acoustic version of the song for fans who'd come from as far awayt as Tijuana for the event. (2/22p)
