Donio Summarizes NARM

NARM'S HAPPY RECAP: The 2011 edition of NARM was an unqualified success...at least in keeping Mark Pearson out of the office all week. Org President Jim Donio was similarly pleased: “The NARM Convention’s return to Los Angeles after over 20 years was truly an incredible event. The industry may have changed markedly over the years, but the performances by Matt Nathanson, Tyrese and David Cook, and the stirring words of Annie Lennox and Brian Wilson at the Awards Dinner, reminded us all that it has always been about great music and artistry to the fans. I do want to remind everyone that NARM is a 365-day organization that is here to support its member companies with our Digital Think Tank, Law Series, Give the Gift of Music program, support of Record Store Day, the NARM database, and more. For example, we’ve got three more classes coming up at our Music Startup Academy in New York, and our next online seminar is with TuneSat on June 9.
