Michael Bloom Wenner's new digital chief

BLOOM IN LOVE: Michael Bloom, the former SVP of Digital Media at MTV Networks, has been named Chief Digital Officer for Wenner Media, AdAge.com reports. He replaces Steven Schwartz, who’s been named global head of business development for Reuters. Bloom will manage both editorial and advertising operations for the digital units of Rolling Stone, Us Weekly and Men's Journal, which collectively command an average monthly audience of 26 million readers and generate around 160 million page views. "I'm thrilled to join Wenner Media's talented team," said Bloom in a statement. "I look forward to helping accelerate the company's digital growth and to create new ways to connect with our audience across multiple screens." Prior to MTV, Bloom helped build out AOL’s music channel. (5/19a)
