Clear Channel Digital gets a head

IT’S NOT HEART SURGERY: Brian Lakamp has been named to the newly created post of President of Clear Channel Digital, while Pablo Calamera has been tapped as the division’s Chief Technology Officer. The corporate moves were announced by Clear Channel Radio President/CEO John Hogan. Lakamp was previously EVP Digital Media. His new responsibilities include oversight of iHeartRadio. Lakamp will report to Hogan and continue to work closely with Tom Poleman, CC’s President of National Programming Platforms, EVP of Strategic Partnerships Michele Laven and President of National Advertising Platforms Charlie Rahilly. Calamera was formerly Chief Technology Officer at Thumbplay, the digital music company CCR acquired in March and whose technology plays a key part in iHeartRadio. Before that, he oversaw technology development for Apple’s MobileMe, the cloud-based data-syncing product that’s now part of iCloud. (10/14a)
