Add WSJ on X Factor

X MARKS THE SPOT: The X Factor’s audience may have been hurt because the postseason baseball games that Fox airs have forced the network to air it at odd times, like Sunday night, when viewership was down by almost 30% from its premiere audience. The first two games of the World Series preempted the show this Wednesday and Thursday; it’ll return next Tuesday. Nonetheless, The X Factor has still helped the network turn around its flagging fall lineup, lifting Thursday viewership by 59% and enabling the network to win the night among viewers 18 years old to 49 years old for the first time in network history. The overall number of viewers tuning in to Fox during the first month of the television season is 18% higher than it was in the first month of 2010. (10/20a)
