O, SUSANNE! Former WB Network and Lifetime programming head Susanne Daniels has been named MTV President of Programming, replacing David Janollari, who decided not to renew his contract. Daniels will oversee development and programming for the network, including scripted and reality series, news and documentaries, production and talent, as well as serving as Snooki's body double, reporting to MTV Music & Logo Group President Van Toffler and MTV President Stephen Friedman. Daniels has overseen programming like Gilmore Girls, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Dawson’s Creek and Smallville at WB, along with Army Wives and Drop Dead Diva at Lifetime. She most recently was a consultant at Oprah Winfrey’s OWN. Janollari was upped to MTV President of Programming in Nov. 2010, stepping in for Tony DiSanto. He is credited with overseeing the development such shows as Teen Wolf, Awkward and I Want My Pants Back. (11/12p)
