Coen Bros. trailer

LOVE MINUS ZERO/NO LIMIT: The new Coen Brothers movie Inside Llewyn Davis, set in Greenwich Village at the peak of the folk boom in the early ’60s scene, was reportedly inspired in part by Dave Van Ronk’s memoir The Mayor of MacDougal Street. The trailer has just been released, and it instantly ramped up our anticipation to a fever pitch. Take a look, and try to keep count with all the references, as Dylan’s “Farewell” plays over the intoxicating flood of images. The film stars Oscar Isaac in the title role; the cast includes Carey Mulligan, Justin Timberlake, John Goodman (natch) and Adam Driver. (1/25a)
