Von Mende Joins Capitol Music Group Team

CAPITOL CAPITALIZATION: Chairman/CEO Steve Barnett’s new Capitol Music Group team continues to take shape with today's appointment of Todd von Mende as CFO, in which he'll serve as a senior member of the management team, overseeing financial strategy and functions for the Group and its divisions, while coordinating with the UMG senior financial team. His first order of business is to cut down on post-it use. Said Barnett: “Todd’s financial acumen and leadership are highly regarded within UMG. In fact, he just made change of a hundred for me the other day.” Von Mende served as CFO for UMGD, and most recently headed the N.A. EMI/UMG integration efforts. He joined UMG in 2001 as VP N.A. Finance & Planning after launching his career with the Walt Disney Company’s Home Entertainment division. Von Mende also founded 23 Frames, a film production company, producing, writing and directing the film Easier Said. (1/29p)
