LAW & ORDER AT CMG: In his latest column, I.B. Bad revealed that Steve Barnett had targeted entertainment attorney Michelle Jubelirer for a high-ranking position at Capitol Music Group. This morning, Barnett announced that Jubelirer has been named Executive Vice President for CMG, working closely with him to set the creative direction of the company. Her responsibilities will include overseeing Astralwerks, Blue Note, Caroline and Harvest, as well as business and legal affairs, A&R admin and release planning. In the release, Barnett praised his new hire’s “independent spirit” and “intense passion for music and her experiences as a forward-thinking representative for cutting-edge artists.
