Grammy Parties Are a Bash, Bash, Bash

PARTY ON DUDES: The music industry may be reeling, but the weekend Grammy parties continued unabated. Primary Wave Music Publishing moved over from the SLS to the Bao on Sunset for their annual bash, as Larry Mestel and company hosted an overflow crowd, with sponsor Nivea, which dined on prime rib, fish tacos and Hershey chocolate kisses in between shots of lip balm. The late George Harrison’s son Dhani hosted a karaoke night at Hollywood dive bar St. Nick’s that drew the likes of Jim James, Ben Harper, Andy “Coati Mundi” Hernandez, as well as members of The Kooks, Chevin and Beware of Darkness. The night of the Grammys was busy, with Republic RecordsMonte and Avery Lipman feting winner Gotye at their bash at the Emerson Theatre. Sony’s Doug Morris, Columbia's Rob Stringer, RCA’s Peter Edge and Tom Corson and Sony Nashville’s Gary O held court with winners Adele, Miguel and Miranda Lambert at the Beverly Hills Hotel, while Red Light Management took over the Skybar t the Mondrian Hotel for a bash that was heavy on manager types like Coran Capshaw, Andy Gould, Jeff Jampol and Phil Costello. Finally, Barry Weiss and Steve Bartels welcomed Rihanna to their Samsung Galaxy/Pepsi-sponsored soiree for Island Def Jam at Mozza Osteria as music biz types parties into the wee hours. (2/11p)
