iTUNES CHARTS: There’s a soundtrack to right now, thanks to the synchronous appearances of The Great Gatsby, Vampire Weekend’s soon-to-be-chart-topping LP and the mega-high-profile Daft Punk, whose latest offering hits Tuesday. But look who just crashed this party: it’s none other than newly crowned American Idol winner Candice Glover, whose July 16 album is now available for preorder, conveniently enough. But this morning’s biggest surprise (to us, at least) is finding Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines,” featuring T.I. and Pharrell, at the top of the singles chart. The track, which has been out since March, has suddenly taken off after the threesome preformed it on The Voice Tuesday and Ellen yesterday. Then there’s that titillating video, which premiered Wednesday on VEVO in two different variations, including a racy “unrated” version that you might find worth a look…or three. If the setup and the girls look familiar, that’s because footage from the video is being used in a Radio Shack TV campaign for the Beats Pill Bluetooth speaker. (5/17a)
