Walking Papers Debut

SEATTLE SLEW: Indusry buzz surrounding Pacific Northwest supergroup Walking Papers, who have just inked a deal with metal and classic rock vet Tom Lipsky’s Loud & Proud Records, which is being distributed by RED. The band features ex-GNR/Velvet Revover bassist Duff McKagan, Screaming Trees/Mad Season drummer Barrett Martin, vocalist/guitarist Jeff Angell and keyboardist Benjamin Anderson, both of the Missionary Position. Look for the band’s debut album August 6, mixed by legendary Seattle producer Jack Endino. The band will headline the second stage of this year’s Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival with Alice in Chains and Jane's Addiction. The first song, “I’ll Stick Around,” features a guest appearance by Pearl Jam’s Mike McCready. (5/17p)
