Eric Nicoli's Back

BACK IN THE BISCUIT: Former EMI Chairman/CEO Eric Nicoli and three partners from the entertainment, finance and brand worlds, have just launched London-based Wentworth Media & Arts, a new entertainment finance, production and distribution venture. The company, backed by British private equity sources, looks to "produce, develop, exploit and fund various products and productions across the whole of the media and entertainment space, including film, television, social media, computer games, CGI animation, theater, live entertainment, education and publishing, as well as associated and emerging technologies." Nicoli’s partners include consumer brands specialist William Lewis, former EMI exec and artist manager John Stanley and finance expert Dean Goldberg. Among its first projects, is The Raven of St. James's Park, described as a "modern-day Downton Abbey-meets-Love Actually” and six-part TV music documentary series called Time of Our Lives. The former United Biscuits CEO first joined EMI in July 1993 and became an Executive Director in May, 1999, shortly before being appointed Executive Chairman. He left EMI in August 2007 when the company was sold to private equity group Terra Firma. (5/20a)
