Cassadee Pope

POPE ANOINTED: Could The Voice finally have a sales winner? Republic Nashville’s Cassadee Pope, who won Season 3 of the show, just released her new single “Wasting All These Tears” and currently sits at #3 on the iTunes chart. She sold over 50k in the first full day of sales and performed the song on Tuesday night’s broadcast. The song is also getting some early but immediate love on the Country Radio chart. The first two seasons' winners, Javier Colon and Jermaine Paul, were non-starters at retail. Could the Irving Azoff-managed singer be the one to reverse that trend? She seems to be looking at about 150k in sales for the week, which utterly eclipses the other Voice champs. Stay tuned. No release date has thus far been set for the full-length. (6/6a)
