iTUNES CHARTS: Well, this is highly unusual. It seems that the top three slots on the album chart have suddenly been overrun by white guys with guitars—although, to be totally accurate, Seattle sextet The Head and the Heart does have a female violinist. But breathing down their necks (as she is wont to do) is Miley Cyrus, whose Bangerz is one of three holdovers in the Top 10, along with Lorde and the Glee Cast’s Cory Monteith tribute. The singles chart has been fluid this morning; earlier, the second in Justin Bieber’s series of weekly offerings held the top perch, just as the first one did last Tuesday, displacing Lorde’s “Royals” (for the moment, at least), but Eminem's newly released “Rap God” recently climbed over both to take it over. That gives Marshall two big-board entries; “Survival,” which hit a week ago, is the other. OneRepublic’s “Counting Stars” has entered the picture (it also hit #1 in the U.K. last week, btw) as it crosses from Hot AC to Top 40 and Ryan Tedder joins The Voice as Adam Levine's assistant coach. It also appears that still more people want to know what “The Fox” says. (10/15a)
