forbes highest paid musicians

DOLLA DOLLA BILLS Y'ALL: Madonna and Lady Gaga top Forbes' rundown of The World's Highest-Paid Musicians 2013. Madge won the #1 spot with $125 million; Gaga got the silver medal with $80m. Like the aforementioned divas, most of the stars on the list made the lion's share of their bucks on the road. Bon Jovi came in third with $79m, mainly due to his Because We Can tour. A few other points of interest: Justin Bieber's $58m was good for #7, just ahead of Taylor Swift, who raked in $55m. Calvin Harris is the highest-paid DJ in the world, making $46m and earning the #14 spot. Katy Perry is tied with The Rolling Stones for #19 with $39m. Of course, the list reflects the period between June 2012 and June 2013, before Jay Z (who's tied with One Direction for #17 at $42m) dropped his last album and hit the road with JT for the blockbuster Legends of the Summer tour. So bear that in mind when pondering some of these ranking. Eager to see how Bruce, Sir Elton Sir Paul, P!nk and other megastars fared? Here ya go. (11/20p)
