Miley takes over MTV on b'day

ARE YOU SURE THIS IS A GOOD IDEA? With some trepidation, we report that MTV will put the network under the control of Miley Cyrus tomorrow (11/23) as a present for her 21st birthday. That’s first, fellow citizens—she’s legal. Beginning at 12:00 p.m. ET/PT, Miley will host her own eight-hour bash, during which she’ll examine the various conspiracy theories surrounding the JFK assassination. Nah, we made up that part. She’ll actually debut the half-hour special 21 Candles: Miley’s MTV Moments, containing her most memorable MTV appearances, her milestone videos and performances and shout-outs from fellow celebs and members of Miley Nation. She’ll also reprise the MTV docu-film Miley: The Movement Deluxe Edition featuring new commentary from the birthday girl, before she introduces and hosts two of her fave MTV shows, Awkward and Snooki and JWOWW. Throughout the day, “Smilers” who tweet birthday wishes to #HappyBirthdayMiley or post Instagram video messages beginning today will have a shot at appearing on the network during the celebration. So polish up your sledgehammers and prepare to get naked. (11/22a)
