iTunes U.S.

DOWNLOAD THIS: We see some surges on the latest iTunes charts. Katy Perry’s “Dark Horse” (Capitol) has achieved a #1 spot that’s seemed inevitable for a while now. Lava/Republic’s Lorde occupies 20% of the album side with two versions of her Pure Heroine, which continues to show remarkable sales stamina; meanwhile, her follow-up single, “Team,” is making its way up on the singles Top 10. Virgin’s Bastille is making remarkable strides on both sides as well. Kid Ink (RCA), Eric Church (EMI Nashville) and John Newman (Republic) are making noise on the album side. And XIX/Interscope’s Aloe Blacc (best known as the vocalist on Avicii’s breakout hit) jumps into the singles mix with “The Man.” (1/10p)
