iTunes Grammy

LUCKY STARS: Daft Punk's Grammy windfall is naturally reflected on the iTunes leaderboard this morning, as the Columbia duo's Album of the Year winner Random Access Memories vaults to #5 (it had been sitting around #41 as late as last evening), while Record of the Year "Get Lucky" flies from #69 to #8 on the singles side. Their non-robotic labelmate John Legend's turn at the piano last night sent "All of Me" to #3 on the singles Top 10 (the song looks like a new Valentine's Day theme). Best New Artists and Rap Album victors Macklemore & Ryan Lewis return to the Top 10 with indie monster The Heist. Mercury Nashville's Country Album winner Kacey Musgraves moves her Same Trailer Different Park up to #7. Bruno Mars' Unorthodox Jukebox (Best Pop Vocal Album) is #9. Song of the Year winner "Royals" by Lava/Republic's Lorde jumps back to #5, while her Pure Heroine album just keeps on selling. The same can be said of Rock Performance winners Imagine Dragons (KidinaKorner/Interscope), Katy Perry's "Dark Horse" (beguilingly performed by the Capitol megastar on the broadcast) and "Get Lucky" singer/Producer of the Year Pharrell's "Happy" (Columbia), which remain huge. Columbia's Beyoncé, whose steamy performance of "Drunk in Love" with hubby Jay Z kicked off the show, saw the track move #25-9; her album, of course, remains a titan at #3. Big jumps outside the Top 10 come from RCA's P!nk, whose performance of Song of the Year nominee "Just Give Me a Reason" with Nate Ruess flew the track #72-16, Musgraves' "Follow Your Arrow," which sailed from outside the Top 100 to #19, and Macklemore's wedding anthem "Same Love," which waltzed #103-29. Unsurprisingly, the Grammy Nominees 2014 compilation moved to #1. (1/27a)
