Scott Shannon retiring

SIGNING OFF:
This morning WPLJ’s iconic Scott Shannon announced his retirement on the air after 22 years at the NYC Cumulus station. His Scott & Todd in the Morning co-host Todd Pettengill will carry on as host of The Todd Show in AM drivetime. “Scott’s contributions to the industry and the station are incalculable,” said Cumulus EVP/Co-COO John Dickey, “and we thank him for his many years of amazing service and dedication to his many morning listeners.” Inside sources say to look for Scott on the links in Florida prior to announcing his next move. Will he join the Seniors Tour, or make his return to broadcasting? (2/7p)
