HANDS ACROSS THE WATER: Anglo-American relations were further enhanced today when INgrooves “deepened its relationship” with U.K.-based Republic of Music, which will continue to partner with the San Francisco-based company in physical distribution outside of North America, including the U.K., Europe, Asia and Australia. The new arrangement finds INgrooves integrating a number of its employees into ROM's network of local distributors around the world, while also adding personnel in its London office to oversee physical production. The first release under the new deal is a new album from longtime INgrooves client Thievery Corporation. INgrooves’ London-based Director of Sales & Marketing Dominic Jones will oversee physical distribution for the company, working closely with his ROM colleagues. The two entities began working together in 2012 and had their biggest success last year with Mazzy Star's Season of Your Day, released on the band's own label in 20 territories. (3/5a)
