Doug gets award from Jimmy at SHOF

HALLOWED HALL: Sony Music chief Doug Morris was presented with the Howie Richmond Hitmaker Award—given to industry "star makers" responsible for numerous hits—by none other than Jimmy Iovine at last week's Songwriters Hall of Fame Induction and Awards Dinner in NYC. The event saw the induction of Ray Davies, Donovan, Graham Gouldman, Mark James and Jim Weatherly, while legendary soul tunesmiths Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff received the Johnny Mercer Award, Dan Reynolds of Imagine Dragons got the Hal David Starlight Award and outgoing BMI head Del Bryant received the Visionary Leadership Award. Sony/ATV overlord Marty Bandier was handed the Towering Song Award for Harold Arlen and Yip Harburg's "Over the Rainbow." (6/16a)
