Bogart and Simmons @ ESPYs

WHITE MEN CAN’T JUMP, DOG DAYS EDITION: For sports fans, the nadir of the year is midsummer, after hoops, before football and smack dab in the middle of the endless baseball season. The symbolic center of these dog days is the ESPY Awards, which took place last night at the Nokia Theatre in downtown L.A., this year’s edition featuring the comedy stylings of MC turned emcee Drake. Pictured hanging out on the red carpet are producer/songwriter and Boardwalk Entertainment principal Evan Bogart and commentator Bill Simmons of Grantland and ESPN fame. As this shot was snapped, Bogart—whose management client ZZ Ward performed during the pre-show—was asking Simmons which team he pulls for when the Celtics play the Clippers. (7/17a)
