Sigman tease

(HE COULDN’T GET NO) SATISFACTION: In the latest excerpt from Michael Sigman’s upcoming book, Field Notes From a Music Biz Life, the author (now a HITS consulting editor) takes us back to the north shore of Long Island in 1966, when, as a 16-year-old with no social life to speak of, he got his rocks off by losing himself in the colorful cavalcade of now-classic records the DJs were spinning on AM radio. The big difference between young Mikey and his classmates at Great Neck South High School was that a handful of those songs had been penned by his songwriter dad, Carl Sigman. As always, it’s a great read, with a series of blasts from the past providing the audiovisual backdrop. (9/24a)
