LONELY DRAWS A CROWD: The end of the eligibility period for Grammy consideration is today, and while it’s generally hard to say who the frontrunners will be in terms of nominations in the big four categories, Grammy whisperer Paul Grein sees one artist as a shoo-in for multiple noms—and he’s a rookie. We don’t need to toss in a spoiler alert to confirm that the artist in question is Sam Smith. But some of Grein’s other favorites leading into the nomination process are somewhat more surprising.
