Sandy Alouete upped at VH1

YOU OUGHTA KNOW: VH1 has anointed Sandy Alouete as SVP Talent & Music Programming, reporting to network President Tom Calderone. In her new post, she’ll be responsible for all talent and label relations, serving as chief liaison between the network, artists, management and labels. She’ll also oversee all music programming, including new shows and artist initiatives. Alouete previously served as SVP of Music & Talent Relations; she’s been at VH1 since 2000 and has guided the influential “You Oughta Know” program since its 2005 inception. She’s also played a key role in attracting major corporate sponsors. Calderone noted that he’s known Sandy since her days at Sire Records and thanked her for the Echo and the Bunnymen tickets. (10/2p)
