YOUR WEEKLY MARKETSHARE SCORECARD: A week ago, we predicted that this week’s winner in frontline share would be Republic, and as you can see, we were right on the money. Of course, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to conclude that releasing a 200k-selling album during a week when no other release hits six figures will likely get you the win. As if that wasn’t enough, Monte Lipman’s machine placed six more albums besides the chart-topping Florida Georgia Line on the HITS Top 50 chart. A pair of Top 10 finishers, the debuting Bob Seger and the high-rolling Sam Smith, combined to secure the #2 perch for Steve Barnett’s CMG. Predicting next week’s finish, with Roadrunner’s Slipknot, Capitol’s Neil Diamond, Columbia’s T.I. and Def Jam’s Logic all hitting, may actually require a rocket scientist to figure out. (10/22a)
