RECOVERY REDUX

Eminem Goes Past Platinum, The-Dream and 3OH!3 Debut Top 10
The prognosis for Eminem’s Recovery continues to be upbeat.

The hip-hop icon’s new Shady/Aftermath/Interscope album remains at #1 for a second week in a row, with its 325k in sales sending his total past platinum.

Fellow rapper Drake’s Young Money/Cash Money/Universal Motown album, Thank Me Later, lands at #2, adding another 105k, which sends the album over 700k in three weeks.

Chop Shop/Atlantic’s Twilight Saga: Eclipse soundtrack moves #9-3, and is up a whopping 81% after the film opened last week, yet another successful release of music supe star Alexandra Patsavis’ label.

Def Jam/IDJ R&B star The-Dream’s Love King is the week’s highest debut, at #4, while Capitol Nashville/EMI’s Now 34 rounds out the Top 5.

Photo Finish/RRP/Atlantic’s 3OH!3’s Streets of Gold debuts at #6, giving Julie Greenwald and Craig Kallman’s label two in the Top 6.

Completing the leader board are Island/IDJ’s Justin Bieber (#7), Brushfire/Universal Republic’s Jack Johnson (#8), Hollywood’s Miley Cyrus (#9) and Capitol/EMI’s Lady Antebellum (#10), still the year’s best-seller to date, giving the Tower two in the Top 10.

In all, Jim Urie's UMGD nails six of the Top 10, including Hollywood's Cyrus.

Other chart newcomers include Downtown’s Scissor Sisters (#20), E1 Music’s Twilight Sage: Eclipse Howard Shore score album (#21), Concord Music’s Kenny G (#32) and E1 Music’s Dwele (#34). Cash Money/ Universal Motown’s Lil Wayne Rebirth release re-enters at #50.

J/RMG’s Alicia Keys is the week’s second-biggest gainer, after Twilight, moving #33-27, +19%, followed by Atlantic’s Zac Brown Band (#16, +9%) and B.o.B (#26-22, +7%).

Def Jam/IDJ’s Big Boi, Universal Republic’s Enrique Iglesias, Interscope’s Kelis and Astralwerks/EMI’s Kylie Minogue are the two biggest names on this week’s release schedule.
