MUSIC BUSINESS NOW IS BACK IN SESSION

UCLA Extension and Recording Academy Will Once More Present the Acclaimed Music Business Class, Starting March 30
Are you ready to get schooled in the modern music business by a trio of profs who know what they're teaching?

If so, then The Music Business NOW: How It Really Works and the People and Events That Influence It is for you, a comprehensive 13-week overview of today’s recording industry, featuring a who’s-who of those that have influenced its past and present, and will forge its future. The 12 classes start on March 30 and go through to June 15, at UCLA’s Haines Hall, Room 39, from 7-10 p.m. To register for the class, go here. Current Recording Academy members are eligible for a $100 discount on the $655 registration feel with the code M0611. Deadline for enrollment is April 13.

Once more presented by UCLA Entertainment Studies and Performing Arts Program along with the Recording Academy, the class will be helmed by returning professors, JAM Inc.’s Jeff Jampol, in his 14th year teaching the class, HITS Magazine Co-Founder/Editor-in-chief Lenny Beer, in his eighth, and Rhino SVP Global Sales and Digital Strategy David Dorn. Assisting them will be Topspin founder/CEO Ian Rogers and UMe President/CEO Bruce Resnikoff. Past instructor Universal Music Publishing Group EVP Tom Sturges will take the semester off, but be on hand as a guest speaker.
