BRUNO MARS TO BMG CHRYSALIS
The management rights/music publishing company inked an exclusive worldwide publishing deal with Bruno Mars. The multi-talented singer/songwriter/producer/ musician’s debut album Doo-Wops & Hooligans has earned 36 platinum certifications worldwide.
Mars’ first solo single, “Just the Way You Are,” hit #1 in multiple countries across the world and won the critically acclaimed artist a Grammy Award for “Best Male Pop Vocal Performance.” Doo-Wops & Hooligans has also yielded the hit singles “Grenade” and “The Lazy Song.” Mars is a 13-time Grammy Award nominee and has now sold over 36 million singles worldwide.
In addition to the songs he has authored and recorded himself, Mars has become an impressive source of hits for some of the most sought-after acts in music today. As a member of the songwriting and production team The Smeezingtons (with partners Ari Levine and Phil Lawrence), he has co-written and/or produced several multi-platinum singles, including B.o.B’s “Nothin’ on You,” Flo Rida’s “Right Round,” Travie McCoy’s “Billionaire” and Cee Lo Green’s Grammy-nominated “Fuck You.”
Most recently, Mars scored his 11th Top 10 single with “It Will Rain” from The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1. Bruno also took home the Brit Award for Best International Male Solo Artist.
