Three Days Grace's Jive/Zomba Label Group entry, One-X, crashed in at #5 with 78k in sales. Which is pretty amazing since, while their last album moved more than a million copies, the band never sold more than 34k in a single week, nor rose above #69 on the chart.

BUSTA GOES BANG!

Dixie Chicks Continue at #2, Three Days Grace Bows Top 5, Disney Still has Three in Top 10
June is Busta out all over.

Veteran hip-hop icon Busta Rhymes makes his label debut, The Big Bang, on Dr. Dre’s Aftermath/Interscope label a huge success with a chart-topping debut and 216k in sales.

The only other newcomer to the Top 10 is Canadian rockers Three Days Grace, whose Jive/Zomba Label Group entry, One-X, crashed in at #5 with 78k in sales. Which is pretty amazing since, while their last album moved more than a million copies, the band never sold more than 34k in a single week, nor rose above #69 on the chart.

Open Wide/Monument/Columbia’s Dixie Chicks continued strong at #2, with another 128k, totaling over a million in its fourth week, even with country radio's reticence to get on board for "Not Ready to Make Nice." Interscope's AFI nailed the #3 slot with 104k in sales.

Walt Disney’s High School Musical (#4), Lyric Street’s Rascal Flatts (#6, +15%) and Disney’s Cars Soundtrack (#8) once more give Bob Cavallo’s Buena Vista Music Group, no relation to Ry Cooder’s Buena Vista Social Club, three of the Top 10 albums of the week.

The rest of the top sellers is rounded out by WB’s Red Hot Chili Peppers (#7), Bad Boy/Atlantic’s Yung Joc (#9) and Downtown/Atlantic’s Gnarls Barkley (#10, up an impressive 38%, thanks to the multi-format radio smash, “Crazy”).

The only other chart newcomer is Columbia recording artist Billy Joel’s 12 Gardens Live album at #18 with 40k sold.
