After 59 RIAA gold, platinum and multi-platinum certifications, 26 Grammy Awards and nominations and countless critical accolades, the first chapter of DWR lore ends tomorrow.

GOODBYE DREAMWORKS: AN OPEN LETTER FROM BRYN BRIDENTHAL

Label Started in 1995 Becomes Part of Interscope as Publicity Department Moves On
In the beginning, Oct. 5, 1995, DreamWorks SKG created DreamWorks Records, headed by über music legends Mo Ostin, Lenny Waronker and Michael Ostin. After 59 RIAA gold, platinum and multi-platinum certifications, 26 Grammy Awards and nominations and countless critical accolades, the first chapter of DWR lore ends tomorrow, Friday, Jan. 9, 2004.

As you know, Vivendi Universal Entertainment has acquired DreamWorks Records and starting Monday, all publicity questions regarding DreamWorks Records artists should be directed to Interscope Publicity (310) 865-1000.

Meanwhile, our DWR computers shut down tomorrow first thing. If you’d like to update your “contacts” for the DreamWorks Records publicity crew, we can be reached thusly:
