Q-TIP WAXES INNOCENT IN COURT

Do Not Insert Q-Tip Into Ear Canal, Use Only As Directed, Keep Out Of Reach Of Children
Rapper Q-Tip was arraigned Monday in New York's Midtown Community Court after entering a plea of not guilty to two counts of assault in the third degree and one count of attempted assault.

The former A Tribe Called Quest vocalist stands accused of punching artist Kenrick Miranda while in the Virgin Megastore in Times Square in mid-March. The two men were apparently fighting over the last available copy of Leo Sayer's "Greatest Hits."

The incident allegedly left Miranda with a broken jaw that required surgery at St. Claire's Hospital.

Q-Tip (Jonathan Davis) turned himself in to Manhattan's Midtown North precinct in late March.

Miranda has told the press that he plans to lodge a civil suit against the rapper, claiming that he has racked up $10,000 in medical expenses from the alleged assault. Not to mention the pain and suffering from Leo Sayer withdrawal.

Q-Tip's next court date will be held on May 25 in Manhattan Criminal Court.
