MTV, TIME WARNER IN DISTRIBUTION ALLIANCE

Partnership Assures No One Will
Ever Again Cry Out, "I Want My MTV!"
MTV signed a long-term agreement with the cable television unit of Time Warner, the nation's No. 2 cable service provider, for distribution of Nickelodeon, MTV and VH1 on all Time Warner Cable systems.

The affiliation pact also provides for additional distribution of TV Land, TNN, Noggin, MTV2 and VH1 Classic, the companies said in a joint statement.

Under the agreement, Time Warner will continue to carry the MTV, Nickelodeon, VH1 and TNN channels of MTV Networks on its basic or expanded basic cable television service.

The pact will also secure distribution for Noggin, MTV2 and VH1 Classic on Time Warner's digital tier, which offers 200 channels and is a service comparable to that offered by satellite television providers.
