Lava Records president Jason Flom was presented last week with the Visionary Of The Year Award by The Music Group of the Entertainment, Media & Communications Division of the United Jewish Appeal Federation of New York.
A gala dinner was held in Flom's honor at Central Park's Tavern On The Green, where a reformed Twisted Sister, Kid Rock, Sebastian Bach, Uncle Kracker and members of Sugar Ray paid tribute. The evening was hosted by Bif Naked, and Rock and Sugar Ray performed for those willing to shell out more than $200 to attend.
The dinner, the New York Post reports, was converted into a booze-fueled rock 'n' roll club. Kid Rock and former Skid Row singer Bach had a "screaming contest" during Rock's set and Rock's hard-partying midget sidekick, Joe C, stumbled into a pole and couldn't get up, the Post said. Tavern staffers carried him outside to the garden to sober up. Rock joined him outside where he unwound by cooing to model galpal James King on his cell phone.
