What’s the biggest issue facing country music?
The perception that we’re a narrow-minded, niche genre.

How are you coping without live music?
From a work-based perspective, I’m having to try to find other income streams and ways to reach fans without the ability to tour. As a consumer, I miss it very much. YouTube videos, remote TV shows and livestreams don’t have the visceral feeling that a live show has. I miss the collective energy for the positive. Sports too.

What’s one bright spot?
Time with my daughters. When I do work from the office, my commute has gone from an hour 15 to 33 minutes.

What are you listening to?
A lot of Taylor Swift. My daughters, who are eight and six, really discovered her music during this time, and they listen to her full catalog all day, every day. They love every song from every album, from the debut to Lover. My workout playlist keeps me sane. I discovered H.E.R. through Kane and his wife, Katelyn, and she is an unbelievable talent.

How are you bridging the physical gap?
With Kane, we still do a decent amount of physical business. Walmart and Target are great partners.
