UMPG NASHVILLE PROMOTES CYNDI FORMAN TO SVP, A&R
3/5/20

UMPG Nashville has promoted Cyndi Forman to SVP, A&R. In her new role, Forman is responsible for signing and developing new songwriting talent, supporting the current roster of writers and will play a key leadership role in further strengthening UMPGN’s creative division. She will continue reporting to Troy Tomlinson, Chairman and CEO of the Nashville division.

“Cyndi represents the very heart and soul of Universal Music Publishing,” said Tomlinson. “Her love for songwriters, her positive attitude and energizing personality permeates our entire team and our writer roster.”

Forman adds, “I have been so fortunate to call Universal Music Publishing Group home for the last 17 years. The foundation of this company is built upon valuing great songwriters and I have always shared that same passion.”

Forman, who joined UMPG in 2002, previously served as Vice President, Creative and is credited with signing and developing platinum artist Hunter Hayes. She is currently working with the likes of Maren Morris, Kane Brown, Chris Young, Old Dominion’s Brad Tursi, Caylee Hammack, Sam Ellis and Striking Matches.

Recognized as a Rising Women on The Row in 2013, Forman was also honored by Belmont University’s Mike Curb College of Entertainment and Music Business, alongside ASCAP, with the Music City Milestone Award in 2018.
