THIS YEAR'S CMA HALL OF FAMERS
3/27/18

The Country Music Hall of Fame 2018 Class will include the likes of Johnny Gimble, Ricky Skaggs and Dottie West, it was confirmed at a press conference held by the Country Music Association on 3/27.

Gimble will be inducted into the Recording and/or Touring Musician category, which is recognized every third year. Skaggs will be inducted into the Modern Era Artist category, while West falls into the Veterans Era Artist category. The new additions bring Hall of Fame membership up to 136 honorees.

“This honor is the highest achievement in our industry, and each of this year’s inductees have helped define country music throughout the decades,” said CMA CEO Sarah Trahern. “We’re thrilled to congratulate them today and welcome them into the distinguished circle that is the Country Music Hall of Fame.”

Pictured celebrating the honor are (l-r) Terry Calonge, Stacey Schlitz, Kyle Young, Sally Williams, Skaggs, Scott Scovill, Trahern, Jim Beavers, Bill Simmons, Jody Williams and Jeff Stevens

Over at HITS, our "highest" achievement involved building a scale model of the Vatican out of Funyuns.
