NICK BARNES JOINS UTA NASHVILLE

Nick Barnes is on his way to UTA. With Q Prime, he presided over a number of triumphs, including the rise of Eric Church, for whom he served as digital mastermind. He joins United Talent Agency as a Digital Strategy Agent based in Nashville.

Looking to get a get a digital edge and increase its profile in Music City, UTA is placing greater emphasis on non-traditional and innovative representation. Barnes certainly fits the bill. At Q Prime, he oversaw Church’s fan club, global digital strategy and created proprietary technology to help thwart high prices on the secondary ticket market and keep concerts affordable for real fans. Barnes has also done stints as Manager of Digital Marketing for Sony Music Nashville and Arista, and has worked with artists that include Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley.

“As the agency continues to expand our suite of services across all areas, Nick will help bring our digital strategy practice to the next level, and give us true digital boots on the ground in Nashville," said UTA Nashville co-head Nick Meinema. “His expertise at the intersection of music, digital and marketing will serve as an invaluable tool as we continue to create new and innovative opportunities for our clients.”

Barnes, meanwhile, is stoked about his new gig. “I'm elated to join the team at UTA and enter into a new chapter in my career. UTA's commitment to digital growth is forward-thinking and progressive.
