The CMA Awards just presented Capitol Nashville's Dierks Bentley (pictured) with the trophy for Musical Event of the Year for "Different For Girls" with Elle King. Chris Stapleton and Director Tim Mattia have been awarded Music Video of the Year for "Fire Away."

GMA anchor Lara Spencer announced the news this morning, while fans outside of Nashville's Bridgestone Arena cheered.

This marks Bentley's third win and Stapleton and King's first. And this is the fifth year that the awards have been announced early on GMA.

“For a decade, Good Morning America has set the tone for Country Music’s Biggest Night by jump-starting the day with superstar performances from Nashville,” said CMA CEO Sarah Trahern. “Announcing the winners in two of our categories is a great way to generate excitement and celebrate our artists and their music with fans across the country.”

Remember to tune into ABC tonight at 8pm ET to catch the big show, hosted by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood.
