DIAMONDS ARE GARTH'S BEST FRIEND
10/25/16

Garth
Brooks—a 2016 CMA Entertainer of the Year nominee—just made history, becoming the first recording artist to earn seven diamond album certifications from the RIAA.

He celebrated the big news at his Ascend Amphitheater gig in Nashville last night.

Governor of Tennessee Bill Haslam presented the icon with a congratulatory custom belt buckle with seven diamonds. Coincidentally, rumor has it HITS prexy Todd Hensley has one just like it!

Later, friends Jason Aldean, Kelly Clarkson, Reba McEntire, Chris Young, Steve Wariner and wife Trisha Yearwood appeared as surprise guests, who sang their chosen cuts from the celebrated albums: Garth Brooks, No Fences, Ropin’ The Wind, The Hits, Double-Live, Sevens and The Ultimate Hits.

And remember: Garh Brooks: The Ultimate Collection—an 11-CD boxed set, priced at a mere $30—is coming 11/11 via Pearl, two week's before new album Gunslinger's national standalone street date (11/25).
