COUNTRY'S BIG NIGHT
11/5/15

Mercury Nashville's Chris Stapleton and Capitol Nashville's Little Big Town were the big winners at last night's CMA Awards, both snagging three awards. Stapleton, the evening's true underdog, went home with Male Vocalist, New Artist and Album of the Year, while LBT snagged Vocal Group, Single and Song of the Year. Scroll down for a full list of winners.

Hosted yet again by Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley, the 49th annual event—which aired on ABC—featured much-talked about performances from Stapleton and Justin Timberlake, Little Big Town, Mercury Nashville's Kacey Musgraves and more.

Collaborative duets from NASH Icon's Hank Williams Jr. and EMI Nashville's Eric Church (Waylon Jenning's "Are You Ready for the Country"), John Mellencamp and Capitol Nashville's Keith Urban (Mellencamp's "Pink Houses"), Valory/BMLG's Thomas Rhett and DCD2/Island's Fall Out Boy (Rhett's "Crash and Burn")

Without warning, Eric Church unleashed his fifth studio album, Mr. Misunderstood, and played the title track on the show, surprising everyone. The album was released as an Apple Music exclusive, and is currently #1 on iTunes' overall album chart. Chris Stapleton's Traveller and Carrie Underwood's Storyteller follow at #2 and #3, respectively, dethroning Adele.

And Blue Chair/Columbia Nashville's Kenny Chesney was the star of a brand new Apple Music ad.
