CROSSOVER
THE BALLSTREET JOURNAL

It took only five weeks for Davey Dee at Republic to get Post Malone f/21 Savage’s “rockstar” to #1. It averaged about 1,250 spins a week, which is very impressive. This is also 21 Savage’s first #1 at the format. There doesn’t appear to be anything behind it that will knock him off the chart for at least three weeks. And the next true contender also comes from Republic. J Balvin & Willy William f/Beyoncé’s “Mi Gente” (PW/UMLE) comes in at #5 this week, up 450 spins. This is still over 2,000 spins away. Demi Lovato’s “Sorry Not Sorry” (Safehouse/Hollywood/Island) climbs into the Top 20 this week, thanks to another 230-spin increase. The Weeknd’s “Die For You” (XO) moves to #21, gaining 150 spins. This one is starting to react. Post Malone’s latest one, “I Fall Apart” (from his previous album), debuts at #35, after adding 530 spins to his total. This track is a fan-favorite at his concerts. Taylor Swift’s “Ready For It” (Big Machine) is a week away from debuting, as it lands at #47, up nearly 200 spins. Trinidad Cardona’s “Jennifer” (Run-It-Up/Island) is up 50 spins and still developing, and Nav & Metro Boomin f/Playboi Carti & Offset’s “Minute” (XO) is at #81. They’re impacting Justine Skye’s “Don’t Think About It” (Roc Nation) this week… RCA’s Inca and Lori G have their hands full, as Khalid’s “Young Dumb & Broke” (Right Hand) is at #4, still up triple-digits. G-Eazy f/A$AP Rocky & Cardi B crashes the Top 10 party with “No Limit” coming in at #8 this week. He has an increase of 390 spins. Goldlink’s “Crew” (Squaaash Club) also makes a Top 10 debut. This one was up 95 spins. Chris Brown’s “Questions” holds at #13, while Miguel f/Travis Scott’s “Sky Walker” (Bystorm Ent.) moves up to #22. They debut SZA’s “The Weekend” (TDE) this week at #38, thanks to a 190-spin increase. Marshmello x Khalid’s “Silence” (Joytime Collective)—up over 150 spins and sure to debut this coming week—lands at #43. Make sure you check out Chris Brown f/Yo Gotti, A Boogie Wit da Hoodie & Kodak Black’s “Pills & Automobiles,” which is crossing from Urban and is already at #45 here. A$AP Ferg’s “Plain Jane” (Polo Grounds) is up an impressive 165 spins at #46… Columbia’s Ayelet Schiffman and James White have a huge debut with Calvin Harris f/Kehlani & Lil Yachty’s “Faking It,” coming in at #31. The gain was over 530 spins, and it’s just starting to hit its stride. Ayo & Teo’s “Better Off Alone” continues to grow, ending this week at #45. Russ’ “Wife You Up” (Russ My Way) has an impressive first full week, gaining 250 spins, good enough for #49. It’s a week or two away from debuting, and was just added at all the Rhythm playlists on Spotify, so look for the streams to really pick up... Capitol’s Greg Marella and Dixie Tipton dropped Migos f/Nicki Minaj & Cardi B’s “Motorsport” (Quality Control/Mowtown), which was up 200 spins in just three days. This one could easily debut next week. They also have Sam Smith’s “Too Good at Goodbyes” at #42, looking to make it on the chart next week… Epic’s Sujit Kundu has Travis Scott’s “Butterfly Effect” (Grand Hustle) at #14 and still growing. It was up 135 spins this week. 21 Savage’s “Bank Account” (Slaughter Gang) holds at #17, while Camila Cabello f/Young Thug’s “Havana” (SYCO), up over 460 spins, continues to break out. It’s also rocketing up the chart at Top 40. Busta Rhymes f/Vybz Kartel & Tory Lanez’s “Girlfriend” (The Conglomerate) continues to develop, and comes in at #58. Make sure you check out Yo Gotti’s follow-up to his #1, entitled “Juice” (CMG). They’re impacting that this coming week.
