U.K. MIDWEEKS: TAYLOR IN THE LEAD
8/10/20

Taylor Swift is heading for a third week at #1 on the U.K.'s Official Albums Chart as new releases from Glass Animals and Deep Purple impact the Top 5. Over on singles, Cardi B and Megan Three Stallion look set to claim the highest new entry.

Swift’s Folklore (EMI) is the most streamed album of the week at the halfway point and currently has a lead of 600 sales over Glass Animals’ Dreamland (Polydor) at #2. Deep Purple’s Whoosh! (Ear Music) starts at #3.

BTS are on track for a Top 40 debut with Map of the Soul: 7–The Journey (Virgin) at #16 following its release on CD. Happiness (New State Music) from dance duo The Beloved starts at #18.

On the U.K.’s Official Singles midweeks, “WAP” (Atlantic) by Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion starts at #6. "Head & Heart" (Asylum) by Joel Corry f/MNEK is on track for another week at #1.

A dance cover of King Harvest’s “Dancing In The Moonlight” (Good Soldier) by Swedish duo Jubel f/NEIMY looks set to continue its eight-week ascent and could break into the Top 10 on Friday after climbing four places to #8.

Ava Max also looks likely to reach a new peak with “Kings and Queens” (Atlantic) up 12 to #12 and a Top 20 entry is on the cards for Juice WRLD & The Weeknd’s “Smile” (UMG) at #18.
