IVORS 2020: NOMINATIONS REVEALED
7/20/20

Songwriters Kate Tempest, Dan Carey, Jimmy Napes and Jamie Hartman lead the The Ivors nominations with two apiece. Warner Chappell Music has the most nominees with six, followed by Kobalt with five, UMPG with four, and Sony/ATV, Domino and Downtown with two apiece.

In the Best Album category, spoken word poet Tempest and producer Carey receive their first nomination for The Book of Traps and Lessons. Also nominated in the category are Little Simz and Inflo for Grey Area.

Tempest and Carey receive their second nomination in the Best Contemporary Song category for “Firesmoke,” which is competing against “Black,” the lead single from Dave’s debut, Psychodrama. It’s Dave’s and Fraser T Smith’s second time nominated in the category together, having won in 2018 for “Question Time.”
