U.K. SIGNINGS: SAYA IT AIN'T SO
10/12/16

Two female singer/songwriters have signed major label deals with Polydor and Island in Blighty recently, with Saya and Antigoni joining the respective Universal imprints.

Polydor A&R Rich Castillo has brought over Toronto artist Saya, who joins the label run by co-Presidents Tom Mortimer and Ben March. She’s managed by Laurie Lee at Wednesday Management alongside Woof Music’s Joey Swarbrick. Saya’s debut track, “Wet Dreams,” was released in March and rocketed to the top of Spotify’s Viral Global Chart. It has over 3m plays to date. Latest track “Cherry Bomb” came out in August.

At Darcus Beese’s Island imprint, London singer/songwriter Antigoni has signed a deal, while Dyo, who features on producer Neiked’s “Sexual” (Polydor) has signed a publishing agreement with Warner/Chappell.

Over on the indie side, British band Goat Girl have signed to Geoff Travis' Rough Trade Records.
