Blighty Beat
ADELE ON BBC TV
11/4/15

More details are emerging about what's left of the promo campaign for Adele's third album, as news from Blighty reveals that the XL singer's upcoming one-hour TV BBC special was recorded on Monday night in front of an audience of fans. Hosted by chat-show man Graham Norton, the exclusive episode will air the day of 25's release on 11/20 on BBC One from 8:30-9:35pm GMT.

Classic tracks from her back catalogue will be played alongside new material from 25, accompanied by her live band. Norton will also interview Adele about her career and life to date.

It will be Adele’s first television performance since she performed "Skyfall" at the 85th Academy Awards in February 2013, where she won Best Original Song for the theme tune to the 23rd James Bond film.

It's fitting that the Beeb would get the U.K. broadcast exclusive for what's rolling out to be the biggest pop comeback of the last decade. Her Majesty's broadcasting giant has supported Adele since the beginning of her career. Adele scored her first-ever radio play with "Daydreamer," on Reggie Yates' BBC Radio 1 show, while "Hometown Glory" was first played by Zane Lowe on Radio 1 in 2007. She made her debut television performance on Later with Jools Holland on BBC Two that same year, performing "Daydreamer."

The BBC show will be followed by a performance on our shores on Saturday Night Live, set for 11/21. Adele will also be taping her Radio City Music Hall special on 11/17, with insiders saying it will likely air 12/14.
