BBC Radio 1
is gearing up for its annual Teen Awards extravaganza, taking place in London’s SSE Arena, Wembley on 11/8.

Existing to honor young unsung heroes for humanitarian endeavors, a load of pop stars will get awards too for being the best British solo artist, group, Vlogger, TV show, film and single.

Names including Capitol boy band 5 Seconds of Summer (who were due to appear at the awards last year but pulled out last minute due to illness), SYCO girl group Little Mix, Island star Nick Jonas and Hopeless Records All Time Low will perform at the ceremony in front of over 9k 14-17-year-olds.

BBC Radio 1 breakfast man Nick Grimshaw will compère, joined by some yet to be named special co-hosts.

Broadcast live on air, the show will provide a decent boost of promo for Australia's 5 Seconds of Summer and homegrown act Little Mix, whose new albums are lined up to be Q4 highlights in Blighty. 5SOS’ Sounds Good Feels Good is out on 10/23, while Little Mix' third LP Get Weird follows on 11/6.

Excuse us while we put on some slippers, smoke a pipe and contemplate where life went.
