WHAT IT IS: R&B sensation Fridayy has rapidly become a sought-after hook maestro, contributing to DJ Khaled’s Grammy-nominated hit “GOD DID” and Lil Baby’s “Forever,” landing him on SNL prior to releasing his debut EP, Lost in Melody. He honed his musicianship in church choirs and a basement studio in Philly, bringing a layer of authenticity to his artistry. His self-titled debut album, featuring the standout tracks “Don’t Give It Away” f/Chris Brown and “When it Comes to You,” has been pegged at #2 behind only SZA on the Apple Music R&B album chart since its release in August.
