BILLIE BLAZES THE POP TRAIL
3/9/18

Interscope's rising star Billie Eilish has always been staunchly herself. Crafting highly ambitious pop music (re: don't smile at me) since 2016, the 16-year-old knows exactly who she is.

Her recent
L.A. Times feature portrays a fiercely independent, forward-thinking and highly poised artist.

"I've always done whatever I want and always been exactly who I am," she said in the piece. "So many people get taken advantage of, but I wasn't."

It's that raw confidence that has led her to create a burgeoning platform from which to wield her voice. Her current material has seen 152m+ overall streams and earned her a deal with Interscope for a full-length set.

"There are still people who are afraid of successful women, and that's so lame. What's the point of pleasing other people?" she asks in the piece, adding, "You've got to get out and change the world, and we're the generation that's going to step into that."
